BIOGRAPHY

Imbaru is a musical project inspired on the countryside and the nature, which mixes neofolk elements with classical, minimalist and Ambient music.

The Imbaru project finds its inspiration in the countryside, the nature and the melancholia of a life tied to the ground far from the alienating technology-ruled cities, taking pure nature as the major influence on the work. Thus, every natural event, season, living creature and sound is considered as part of an essential energy that makes Earth work as a harmonic system. The mystery of nature, the secrets hidden by the ground, the trees and the harvest are some examples of the connection between each being and their environment that the artist wanted to portray through music.

Imbaru is a pantheistic and mystical attempt to recreate every shade of light wandering the meadows, hills and bleak ravines by borrowing the melodies, sounds and silence proper of rural lands.

The project begins back in 2010 experimenting with different sounds which led to a first sketch by the middle of the year called "Transición". Later on, with clearer ideas, the first part of the trilogy was born, "El Cerro y la Penumbra", a work immersed in the mystique surrounding the rainy winter and the mist, the campestral night, the forests, and the lost villages' solitude and melancholia.

The second piece, “Las Cadenas del Epitafio”, come out the following year approaching the less cold and more contemplative and melancholic autumn, aesthetic and tones, presenting a view on time progress and its effect on vegetation as a symbol of temporary death and resurrection.

The third work "De la Tierra a la Aurora", is a creation conceptually set in the spring on the outskirts of Casablanca, Chile. Which is framed in the contemplation of the day and vivid colors accompanied by the resurgence of the singing of the birds. This piece of work marks the end of the trilogy of albums set in the seasons of the year in the field, keeping the mystery of the hills and meadows in an ethereal and dreamlike vision.

In the year 2014 is born "Eternos en la Pradera", a work linked to the concept of childhood and countryside besides rural life memories, long walks by the meadows and hills accompanied by domestic animals. This has become the most intimate piece of work by Caminante Silencioso.

"El Inherente Sentir en los Árboles" was born in the middle of the year 2015, linked to the mystique of the southern rainforest, the rivers and the contemplation of the flora and fauna from different forests of southern Chile. This work not only encloses the admiration to the ancient and majestic trees but also the energy that they project in their environment.

"Trukur" was born in 2017. It is an album related to "El Cerro y La Penumbra" as it is linked to wintertime introspection and contemplation in the lonely fields, hills, forests and meadows, but presenting itself as a more mature attempt at translating thoughts and feelings associated with life in the winter cycles. It is one more mean in the search for an state of comprehension, equilibrium and harmony in the natural world. It aims to help us reflect on and contemplate our existence as finite beings living in an infinite and complex world in which we are no more than just another lifeform. It is when we reconnect with the remains of the past, with our ancestors, that for a moment our notion of time loses its importance and our perception sharpens and gets overwhelmed by the immensity of nature.
